I have a 2-year gap. Is it too long to recover from in interviews? +
Not at all. The length of a gap matters far less than how you explain it. Recruiters have seen 5-year gaps turned into compelling narratives — and they have rejected candidates with 3-month gaps who could not explain them. This course gives you the exact language to make any gap length feel intentional and credible. The script module includes specific approaches for shorter and longer gaps.
I was laid off. Is it embarrassing to say that in an interview? +
Absolutely not — and this course specifically addresses the layoff scenario. Layoffs are a business decision, not a performance one. The way you frame it makes all the difference. Module 3 includes a word-for-word script for layoff situations that positions you as someone who handled a difficult situation professionally and used the time constructively.
