CMA Course Details
By CMA Rohan Sharma · · 6 min read
CMA course registration should be done carefully. Wrong level selection, incorrect documents, a missed cut-off date, or a spelling error in personal details can create avoidable complications — and in some cases, the fee paid is not refunded. Reading this guide before starting the registration process will help you go through it confidently and correctly.
Step 1: Verify eligibility and decide level (Foundation or Intermediate) — from icmai.in/ClntStudents/CourseEligibility. Step 2: Prepare all required documents before filling the form. Step 3: Visit the official ICMAI admission portal at icmai.in and select the correct course level. Step 4: Fill personal and education details — verify every entry before proceeding. Step 5: Upload documents and photo/signature as per ICMAI specifications. Step 6: Review all details carefully and pay fees. Step 7: Download and save the payment receipt/acknowledgement. After registration: Note student ID, login credentials, and exam form deadlines. Always verify current fees and process from icmai.in before starting.
Do not begin filling the registration form until you have completed these three steps:
Step 1: Verify your eligibility for the level you want to register for
ICMAI eligibility conditions determine which level you can register for based on your educational qualification. Foundation eligibility is generally available after Class 10+2 (subject to current ICMAI conditions). Intermediate eligibility is available after clearing Foundation, or through direct entry routes for graduates — subject to specific conditions. The eligibility rules are published at icmai.in/ClntStudents/CourseEligibility.
Do not register for a level without verifying eligibility. Registering for an incorrect level can result in your registration being invalidated or complications at the time of examination. Eligibility must be verified from official ICMAI sources — not from coaching centres, WhatsApp groups, or older blog posts.
Step 2: Decide whether to register for Foundation or Intermediate
For most new students after Class 12: Foundation is the starting point. For graduates or students who may qualify for direct entry to Intermediate: verify the current direct entry conditions from icmai.in/ClntStudents/CourseEligibility before choosing Intermediate registration. If you have already cleared Foundation: register for Intermediate directly.
Step 3: Verify the current fees
ICMAI registration fees for Foundation and Intermediate are published on the official ICMAI website. Fees can change and any figure from a third-party source (including this blog) may be outdated. Verify current fee amounts from icmai.in before making any payment. For a general fee overview, read our blog on CMA course fees in India — full cost breakdown.

Registration is not the end of the process — it is the beginning. These steps are critical after completing payment:
ICMAI generally holds CMA examinations twice a year — June session and December session. Each session has specific cut-off dates for:

CMA Students — Registration Is the First Step. Preparation and Career Are the Goal.
ICMAI campus placement (icmai.in/ClntStudents/CampusPlacement) connects all qualified CMAs with manufacturing MNCs, FMCG companies, and PSU recruiters. Registration begins the journey. A strong campus placement outcome completes it. Prepare for both from Day 1.

Generally yes — but examination session cut-off dates must be followed. Missing the cut-off delays your first attempt by 6 months. Check current cut-off dates from icmai.in before planning registration. Register at least 2–3 weeks before the deadline.
Generally: Class 10 mark sheet/certificate, Class 12 mark sheet/certificate (or appearing proof), recent passport-size photograph (per ICMAI specs), and signature. Verify current document requirements from icmai.in admission guidance before uploading — specifications can change.
Download and save payment receipt immediately. Note student registration number/ID. Save login credentials. Check study material access/despatch status. Note the examination form submission deadline for your target session — this is a separate step from registration.
Changes after payment may involve administrative complications or fee loss. This is why selecting the correct level — after verifying eligibility from icmai.in/ClntStudents/CourseEligibility — before payment is the most critical step in the entire registration process.
You Are Registered. Now Prepare With the Same Care You Used to Register.
The careful approach that produces error-free CMA registration — verify first, prepare documents, check twice before paying — is the same approach that produces exam success and interview success. Bring that same rigour to every step of your CMA journey.
Explore the Course →CMA registration is not difficult — but it must be done carefully. The most expensive registration mistakes are also the most preventable: wrong level selection, incorrect personal details, unclear documents, missed cut-off dates, and failure to save the payment confirmation. All of these are avoidable if you verify eligibility first, prepare documents before starting the form, and check every detail before clicking Pay.
Use only official ICMAI pages. Type icmai.in in your browser — do not follow shared links. Verify eligibility from icmai.in/ClntStudents/CourseEligibility before selecting your level. Save every confirmation after payment. Note your student ID. Set a calendar reminder for the exam form deadline. And then focus on what matters most after registration: preparation.
