Introduction
Every attempt, after CMA Final results are declared (since exams are held twice a year — June and December), ICMAI conducts the CMA Campus Placement to help newly qualified CMAs start their careers.
But many students are unsure about what campus placement actually is. Here is a simple, easy-to-understand overview.
What Is CMA Campus Placement? CMA Campus Placement is an official recruitment program conducted by The Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) to connect fresh CMAs with companies that want to hire finance, costing, and accounting professionals. It is a bridge that gives students access to job opportunities in:
- PSUs
- MNCs
- Banks
- Consulting & IT firms
- Manufacturing & FMCG
- Pharma & healthcare
- Logistics & infrastructure
ICMAI provides the platform, and students get the opportunity to appear for interviews.
Who Organizes CMA Campus Placement? The placement process is handled at two levels:
1. Regional Level Placement (Main Campus) These are the major placement drives conducted by:
- East Regional Council (Kolkata)
- West Regional Council (Mumbai)
- North Regional Council (Delhi)
- South Regional Council (Chennai)
Most large recruiters participate at the regional level.
2. Chapter-Level Placement (Extended Campus) After the main regional campus ends, local ICMAI chapters conduct their own placement drives. This offers more opportunities to students who:
- didn’t get shortlisted earlier
- want local city-based jobs
- want additional chances after regional drives
Both are valid and official placement opportunities.
Purpose of CMA Campus Placement The goal of the campus placement program is to:
- Support fresh CMAs in getting their first job
- Provide structured interview opportunities
- Offer a fair and transparent selection process
- Help students begin their professional journey confidently
It creates equal access to companies for all eligible students.
What Support Does ICMAI Provide? During the campus placement cycle, ICMAI offers:
- Training program (earlier 12-Day Orientation, now often “Advanced Training Program”)
- Communication about job openings
- Company presentations
- Access to interview rounds
- A structured system for selections
Students must register and follow the guidelines to participate.
Conclusion CMA Campus Placement is a great opportunity for newly qualified CMAs to start their career with confidence.
It provides exposure to companies, structured interviews, and a fair platform for selection. This blog gives you the basic overview.
